/Chasting the Dragon

created in 2017-2018
This summer collection is about chasing illusions, much like the allegory of love.
Titled “Chasing the Dragon,” the collection draws inspiration from Chinese cultural heritage, where the phrase refers to people who have tried opium for the first time and subsequently seek to recapture that initial feeling of euphoria and flight.

( Chasing the Dragon - This term is a bit more complicated than merely "smoking opium". It starts when you have your first high, the world is peaceful, everything is perfect, you're numb, but in the best way possible. But, soon, it starts wearing off.)

In this collection, dragons slip away through steam and smoke, finding their habitat in the clouds. All articles of clothing are white or reflect the colors of stormy skies, adorned with original hand-drawn prints. The fabrics used are light and breathable, made exclusively from non-animal materials, including cotton, suit fabric, and raincoat fabric.

The imagery from the collection's photoshoot immerses you in a Chinese garden where rain and mist blend with opium fumes. It’s an ethereal place where one can not only chase the dragon but also momentarily grasp it—a mystical realm where illusions seamlessly merge with reality.
